This is how Excel will always show an incorrect formula.
An example would be if you had typed in a hyphen (-) before your descriptions when entering in your journal/invoice etc. When Excel sees the hyphen it thinks it is expecting a negative number and will display #NAME? in its place as the information makes no sense to it.
Ideally hyphens should not be typed as the first character in your descriptions for this reason. However, if you would like to begin a description with a hyphen then start the cell with a apostrophe (‘), this will tell Excel to format the rest of the cell as a text field and will not turn it into a formula.
